#ThankfulThursday - Edition #3: Mari Barron

Mari has been one of my best friends since we were in middle school and is someone that I know I can truly trust. We love a lot of the same music and whenever we are together we are always cracking jokes, laughing and having a good time! When Mari gets in the zone, her one of a kind artistic style truly shines and she is especially great with stencil work. She is so focused and has such a high attention to detail, sprinkled with an amazingly laid back, fun, unique and creative vibe. Mari is an amazing artist and I have really enjoyed seeing the many different projects that she has created over the years. She drew all of the original VoliteINC. t-shirt designs, which are classic to the official branding of this company. Thank you, MariB!

#ThankfulThursday - Edition #2: Kristen Carranza
Kristen is my Bestie and we have been best friends since middle school. She's always had back and I've got hers! We have a weird way of always making each other laugh with inside jokes that could go on for years. She introduced me to live rock music at BFD in Mountain View many many years ago and I am so grateful for that. We have been going to shows together ever since and both have a true passion and respect for music and musicianship. She is a true musician who can sing, write and read music with a strong drive to support the music industry through her innate instinct and backed by a degree from SF State in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. She currently lives in San Diego so we don't get to see each other as much as we used to, but we talk every week on Wednesdays to chat about our business ideas. She and I have so many sandboxes full of ideas that we want to launch through VoliteINC. and share with you! Stay tuned...we're dangerously awesome when we're together...

For you Bestie: "Always remember, never forget... the past, it's behind you..." ;)

Outsider Art at Outside Lands 2016 in San Francisco, CA

This post is dedicated to Outsider Art from Outside Lands August 5-8, 2016 in San Francisco, CA.

"FOLLOW ALL THE ACTION ON INSTAGRAM #OLOUTSIDERART
Outside Lands Music Festival, in partnership with artist and curator Jeben Berg and San Francisco’s very own Juxtapoz Magazine, is proud to bring Outsider Art to Golden Gate Park. These prolific artists create a diverse range of original artwork through daily live painting, installations, stage scrims and one-of-a-kind art performances.

2016’s line-up features fan favorites from the past, coupled with a handful of brand new artists including: Pursue, Gena, Haste, and Bunnie Reiss. Keep an eye out too as Outsider Art will be on the move this year with famed author Dave Eggers' ridable (hint: animal-like) installation traveling throughout the park.

Don’t miss the Scrims this year as they become the backdrop for countless crowd shots and shameless selfies. #OLOUTSIDERART We welcome another fresh crew of Scrim designers with Michael Grgas on Twin Peaks, sister duo Rachael and Kelly Morello on Sutro, and Erik Otto on PanHandle."

#ThankfulThursday - Giving thanks for the past, present and future!

Hi! Today launches #ThankfulThursday, a series of weekly shout outs to those who have and continue to support VoliteINC. Credit for the idea to do this goes to Mitch Uzunoglu.

There is a well known African Proverb that says, "It takes a village to raise a child" and I believe that it takes genuine support from family and friends to start a business. There have been MANY people along the way that have supported VoliteINC. and I remember every single one of you! My goal this week is to start out by featuring someone who has been there since the VERY beginning! ;)

DISCLAIMER: These #ThankfulThursday posts are in no way, shape or form ranked or prioritized, so if you're not featured here right away, that doesn't mean that you're not important. I've got a lot of gratitude to give, so please stay patient and your time to shine will come :) If there's something special you'd like to say about VoliteINC and/or if you'd specifically like to be featured, please let me know

#ThankfulThursday - Edition #1: JoAnn aka Mom

My Mom has always been my biggest fan and my #1 supporter! I know that she will always be by my side to lend a helping hand, to offer advice and most of all just to listen. I truly consider her my best friend and she is a great role model that has shown me what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. She has run multiple businesses over the past 30+ years and started her own day care out of our home when my Sister and I were babies. My Mom has taught me the importance of how to balance working hard, while managing a family and I am forever grateful for the example she has set. She is definitely the reason why I have an innate urge to create and run my own business! Thanks, Mom! <3

From the ground up...

From the ground up has been the motto for Volite as the brand relaunches in 2016.

at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA

My name is Rebecca Wall and I started this company back in 2004 when I was in high school. I have always been really passionate about music and learned a lot about business in college where I wrote an entire business plan for the company while getting my degree. I went to Chico State and they had a really great business program where I could focus my upper division course studies on Entrepreneurship and Small Business, which was perfect for me and Volite! As I work on rewriting the business plan and the company bio to include all of these new updates, I am relaunching the brand via social media outlets.

Your support means A LOT to me and I genuinely appreciate every individual "like" on Facebook and all the new users supporting and following Volite on Instagram and Twitter. I've always believed that in business and in life things should be open, honest and transparent. I've included a few photos below of the growth I've seen on Facebook in the past few weeks so that you can see what I see :) My goal is to continue to share things like this with you as this journey continues!

Please continue to support Volite and spread the love that this musically inspired clothing and lifestyle brand strives to share and encourage in the world. Be on the lookout for a different Artist/Album/Song each week for #MusicMonday and send me some recommendations! I'll be featuring many different genres of music and I'd love to hear about what you've been listening to, even if it's something that nobody else has ever heard of. Here's a quick recap of the past few #MusicMonday artists:

Let's keep in touch! Feel free to reach out to me:

Peace and love, always <3
