#MusicMonday is dedicated to the compact disc or CD, co-developed by Philips and Sony, to store and play digital audio recordings; a quick progression from the cassette tape that was introduced in the 1960-1970's and huge leap of growth from the original phonograph invented in the 1870's.

#MusicMonday: Cassette Tapes & Walkman - 1960's & 1970's

#MusicMonday is dedicated to Lou Ottens, a Dutch inventor and Engineer at Philips who invented the audio cassette tape and was also involved in developing compact disc technology. This led to the planning and development of the Sony Walkman by Yasuo Kuroki, a Japanese designer.
